Chasing Waterfalls: Uncovering Atherton Tablelands' Hidden Gems

#australiatrip Atherton Tablelands Waterfall Curcuit We headed out to chase some waterfalls and we found some pretty stunning ones at Atherton Tablelands! Malanda Falls was first. Wasn’t on the list but we saw it and went in for a stop. It was a quick walk and a lovely view. The falls flowed into a swimming area before continuing into the North Johnstone River. Second stop was Milla Milla Falls. Stunning waterfall and swimming area surrounded by a lush rainforest. A tour bus of young kids had just pulled in and were getting ready to take the plunge but I managed to grab a view bikini free shots. Zillie Falls was our third stop on the circuit and was the most underwhelming of the falls because the foliage was overgrown and blocking all but the top of the falls. Hopefully it gets a trim soon. Our last stop, and my favorite, Ellinjaa Falls. It was more than a few steps down to the bottom of the falls but oh, was it worth it! WOW! Set in the rainforest, this was such a stunning view. So glad we made the walk down. The circuit is a definite must if you are in the area!
