Sun is rising here

This little-known park stretches across a jagged mountain range near Myanmar's border. Mornings at the park, which bills itself as the "country of fog and freezing rainforest," have a gloomy beauty, especially when cold-season mist covers the valleys. The park is inaccessible for the most part, although visitors can enjoy waterfalls and hiking near the end of one of Thailand's most remote and meandering roads. Elephants, tigers, bears, serow (Asian mountain goats), marbled cats, and palm civets are among the park's species, though most are shy.
