Laojun Mountain Self-Drive Guide

🌠Laojun Mountain is located in the east of Luanchuan County, Luoyang City, Henan Province. It is the oldest mountain in Taoist culture and is known as the "Two Peaks of the North and South" along with Wudang Mountain. Main attractions include: Laozi Cultural Park, Sheshen Cliff, Shili Gallery, Jinding Taoist Temple Complex, and Zhumeng Valley. 👍Recommended route: Laojun Mountain East Entrance - Ticket Office (west of the Visitor Center) - Parking Lot (drive in and stay nearby) - Zhongling Cableway (Yunjing Cableway is to the north) - Zhongtian Gate - Fenglin Cableway - Wonderland Tunnel - Cloud Walkway - Shili Gallery - General Peak - Elevator (or walk along the Buyun Walkway) - South Gate - Jinding Taoist Temple Complex (Yuhuang Peak on the right, Liangbao Platform on the left) - Down the mountain to Fenglin Cableway 🌅Buy tickets in advance and then book a hotel. It is recommended to drive into the scenic area, which is convenient for climbing the mountain the next morning. There is no queue for the cableway, and you can avoid taking the scenic area shuttle bus. Pay attention to the weather forecast before you go. The mountain will be closed if it snows. Bring crampons when climbing in winter. They are usually provided by the hotel.
