Visiting the Southern Most Tip of USA

Our first full day on the Big Island and we rod tripped to the Southern most section or more commonly know as Punalu’u. Our first stop was the bakery for Malasadas followed by the black sand beach. unfortunately no turtles while we were there but a unique and interesting visit. Getting There - many options available from both Kona and Hilo we chose to self drive and followed HI-11 (the ring road). The drive took about an hour and a half from Kona as we took it slow and admired the scenery along the way. Attractions - Black Sand Beach Food & Restaurants - Punalu’u Bakery (so delicious!!) Well worth the drive for the Malasadas alone. #gooutside #familytravel #foodie
