When I visited Marais Home's new restaurant, I was disappointed with both the space and the food. Benshi’s space design has always been a gold standard, and many dining space works are excellent. This time, the image of ocher stone, which is both calm and fiery, echoes the new brand Ochre, which specializes in direct-fired cuisine. It is completely reasonable, especially the coral marble material of the counter. Beautiful, but maybe a little greedy. The restaurant hopes to create a relaxed atmosphere, so it added large areas of dazzling yellow and bright blue lines, modern and neat metal chandeliers, and cute wave imagery. Everything is too rich. At one time, it was restrained and primitive, and then at another, it was bright and modern with geometric stacking, and it also showed flame energy and retro fashion. No matter the color, lines, or style elements, I was dazzled by it, and completely lost the main tone and personality. The intention to create a design full of energy, warmth and appeal is obvious, but the effect is greatly reduced. When I saw the promotional photos and shared them with the community, a thought came to my mind: the lighting seemed weak. It is true during the actual visit that bright floor tiles are used. In order to avoid direct light, indirect lights are mainly used. There are actually many light sources, but the light in the entire space feels low and inadequate (the photo is brightened). There is no deliberate attempt to create a dark atmosphere. Feeling full of waves. The main chandelier is also a pity. It is beautiful in itself and has a strong sense of design, but the lighting effect is not highlighted by the environment. The reflective light spots caused by the mosaic material on the ceiling above also puzzles me, not to mention the fact that a few chandeliers were added for the sake of placing them. The abrupt bracket is a bit ridiculous.
