Walking and Exploring Nature at Kung Krabaen Bay

Kung Krabaen Bay, officially known as the Kung Krabaen Bay Royal Development Study Center, is located in Khlong Khut Subdistrict, Tha Mai District, Chanthaburi Province. It was established under the royal initiative of King Rama IX to find suitable areas for developing fisheries and agricultural projects along the coastal areas of Chanthaburi. The center focuses on conservation, coastal resource management, and promoting and developing local livelihoods. It has also been promoted as a tourist destination for studying the natural environment, understanding the mangrove ecosystem, and learning how to use resources efficiently. There is a 1,600-meter-long wooden walkway for nature study, with pavilions and informative signs about the plants and animals in the mangrove forest along the way. The nature trail offers beautiful photo spots such as the suspension bridge, the bay mouth, mangrove forests, teak forests, and various animals like mudskippers, sesarmid crabs, and birds. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk in the cool and shady environment.
