Ban Tha Chalom Community Tourism and Activities Center

#GetDiscountWithoutLuck Baan Tha Chalom is a beautiful white two-story wooden house which is over 50 years old, built in 1963. The front of the house is on the bank of the Tha Chin River, the back of the house is on Thawi Road. In the past, this house was the residence of Mr. Ha and Mrs. Suwan Saengsuk-iem. Currently, it is permitted to use the house as a tourism and community activity center for Ban Tha Chalom without any charge. Inside, there is a lot of interesting information, both antiques and pictures about Tha Chalom in the past. There are lecturers who provide knowledge about the history of Tha Chalom. You will learn about fishing, fishing careers, selling fish, and learn about fishing boats and fish rafts called Chainawi. You will hear a story from the past about a young man from Tha Chalom who fell in love with a young woman from Mahachai, so he had to swim across to find her and bring her fish. This is a love story between a young man and a young woman from different social classes who live on opposite sides of the river. Inside Ban Tha Chalom, there are also souvenirs for tourists who come to visit. In fact, all the stories are useful information for students, young people, and the general public who are interested.
