Ancient Town

Heshun Ancient Town Heshun Ancient Town in Yunnan is rated by 'China National Geography' as a 'must-visit place in one's lifetime'. Staying in a homestay in the ancient town is very quiet, unlike the commercialization of Dali Ancient Town. According to the homestay owner, it's because strict regulations prevent commercialization, and local residents just set up small stalls in front of their homes. I went to a small restaurant, and every time I passed by, I saw that it was crowded with people. I wondered why, during the off-season when almost no other restaurants had customers, this one was always bustling. After dining there once, I was indeed shocked by the warmth and kindness of the owner and staff. The ancient town is situated at the foot of a mountain, so the ancient trees in the town are also lush and verdant. Perhaps because of this, the sound of cicadas here is really loud; back in my hometown, they would probably be considered the king of cicadas!
