G314, the China-Pakistan Friendship Highway, is a road that connects Kashgar in Xinjiang, China, with Thakot in Pakistan. It is 1,224 km long, with 415 km in China and 809 km in Pakistan. A trip along this road will shock your soul and change your perception of the world. This road is not only the only land route from China to Pakistan and the South Asian subcontinent, but also one of the highest international roads in the world. The road crosses the Karakoram Mountains, the Hindu Kush Mountains, the Pamir Plateau, and the western end of the Himalayas. It is one of the highest and most beautiful roads in the world and is known as the "Modern Silk Road." The scenery along the way is magnificent.
