I spent the day exploring the ancient Greek Theatre, which costs around €10 for entry. The amphitheater is well-preserved and still hosts performances—imagine watching a show with that view! Afterwards, I wandered down Corso Umberto, Taormina’s main street, filled with charming shops, cafes, and gelato stands. One of the highlights was taking the cable car down to Isola Bella, a tiny island and nature reserve with crystal-clear waters. You can swim, sunbathe, or just admire the beauty for about €4 to access the beach. The atmosphere is so relaxed, and the blend of history, culture, and natural beauty makes Taormina unforgettable.
