Tangshan Museum, located in the center of Tangshan City, Hebei Province, in Phoenix Mountain Park, was established in 1996. It was transformed from the original exhibition hall's south pavilion and officially opened to the public on April 5, 2012. It is a local comprehensive museum and a cultural activity center that integrates the collection, protection, research, publicity, and education of cultural relics. 【Museum Layout】 Hall A: Displays the 'Three Flowers of Eastern Hebei' exhibition, mainly featuring Tangshan shadow puppetry, Pingju opera, and Laoting big drum. Hall B: 'History of Tangshan' exhibition shows the development history of Tangshan from the appearance of humans to the city's prosperity due to coal over tens of thousands of years. Hall C: 'Collection of Artworks' exhibition displays calligraphy, painting, sculpture, and other donated works received by Tangshan Museum. Hall D: Equipped with an academic lecture hall, a professional library, and a restaurant open to the public. Hall E: A temporary venue, specially set up with a youth practice hall. 【Treasures of the Museum】 1⃣️Nama elephant door tooth fossil: 2.8 meters long, about 100,000 years old. 2⃣️White glazed printed square plate: About 900 years old. 3⃣️Tangshan donkey skin shadow puppetry: Tangshan shadow puppetry is one of the most influential types in Chinese shadow puppetry, originated in the late Ming Dynasty, with a history of more than 400 years. The 'Tangshan Donkey Skin Shadow' displays shadow figures and scenes that are exquisite masterpieces collected by Tangshan Museum from the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period, which are not only of cultural relic value but also rare works of art. 4⃣️Tangshan Pingju: Tangshan Pingju is one of the traditional Chinese opera genres. Its founder, Cheng Zhao Cai (born in Luan Nan County, Tangshan City), was originally a 'Lotus Fall' performer.
