I thought Kyoto was beautiful enough until I visited the lesser-known Wakayama

Nara Park

📅 We went to Nara to see Nara park and the largest temple entrance in Japan. Spoiler: trip was so amazing! Point 1: Nara park (of course 😁). Just went out of the subway station you can see deers everywhere — they look naturally and free. Point 2: Todai-ji Namdaimon (Grand South Gate). This place made me feel so small, my problems became unimportant and really easy to solve! The beauty of this temple is unique, I really recommend to visit it at least once. 🍴 Food: We found a good place to eat “SAKURA BURGER”, burgers were delicious and tasty, but please be ready to wait in line 🥲 📌 Tips: WHEN YOU BUY A DEER COOKIES IMMEDIATELY PUT IT IN YOUR BAG AND GIVE LITTLE PORTIONS WHILE WALKING. I was almost attacked because I open my pack near the cookie trolley 😁 Nara is totally worth to visit, even if it’s a lot of people and dear 💔🔥✨

Fushimi Inari Taisha

⛩️ Step Into the Spirit World at Fushimi Inari Taisha Get ready to wander beneath endless vermilion torii gates at Kyoto’s legendary Fushimi Inari Taisha—a shrine where tradition, nature, and stunning vistas collide. As you walk the ancient mountain trail, the iconic gates and mossy stone lanterns create an unforgettable outdoor cultural landscape! Start early to capture the path bathed in morning light; the main entrance is usually crowded by mid-morning, so a sunrise stroll means fewer people and soft, golden rays for those must-have “man beneath the torii” shots. For an atmospheric photo, frame the stone lanterns with the gates behind you—bonus points if you catch rays filtering down! Sunny days bring out the vivid colors, but the moodiness of mist or night is magical too. Follow the trail up the mountain (it’s open 24 hours!), discovering hidden sub-shrines along the way. You don’t have to hike all the way to the summit—the first hour covers the most famous sections and scenic spots. If you walk further, the crowds fade and the ancient forest takes over; perfect for a peaceful moment or unique night photos when lanterns glow. Key tips: Wear comfortable shoes—the paths are uneven and steep in places. Hydrate (no shops beyond the base), and keep a raincoat handy during unpredictable weather. Beware: summer afternoons are hot and sticky, so plan accordingly. For solo travelers, early mornings or late evening walks provide solitude and magical lighting—my favorite time for reflective moments under the gates. #Kyoto #FushimiInariTaisha #OutdoorCulture #JapanTravel #ToriiGates

The deer in Nara are better at posing than I am: I was so cute in five seconds that I knelt down to feed them rice crackers.
