In the serene forest lies the simple Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine

Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine is located southeast of Mount Aso, and transportation is not very convenient. We drove here, and there is a dedicated free parking lot by the roadside. The entrance is a stone staircase that goes uphill, flanked by nearly a hundred stone lanterns and torii gates covered in moss, exuding a solemn atmosphere among the towering trees. At the end of the mountain path, behind the simple shrine, there is a large wind cave called To-no-Iwa, a naturally formed giant circular hole. It is said to have been pierced by the power of the gods, and passing through the hole is believed to bring good luck and fulfill wishes.
