Traveling around the Chita Peninsula: Following the "Sanshu Takahama Oni-michi"

Sanshu Takahama "Oni no Michi" is a walking course themed on Sanshu tiles, located just east of the Kinuura Ohashi Bridge that crosses from the Chita Peninsula to Honshu. Takahama is the number one producer of Sanshu tiles in Japan and has a pottery culture. Morimae Park, the entrance to the "Oni no Michi", has many monuments made from tiles. Sanshu tiles are particularly famous for oni tiles, which is why the area was named "Sanshu Takahama Oni Michi". Looking up at the top of Morimae Park, you can see the Kannon statue peeking out from the top of the mountain. After walking up the narrow tiled path, you will arrive at Kinuura Kannon. Looking back at the path you came up, you will see the chimney of a kiln, which is made of brick and has a very charming feel.
