Asuka Lounge - Kansai International Airport

This time we visited Asuka Lounge, the only VIP lounge available to Cathay Pacific at Kansai International Airport (KIX). As the airport is currently under renovation, some arrangements have been changed. If you take a Cathay Pacific business class flight on your return trip from Osaka, you will be assigned to that one, and you will not be able to enter the North Lounge, and you will not receive credit card benefits. Asuka Lounge is located at Gate 11 of Terminal 1 of Kansai International Airport. If you are taking Cathay Pacific, you need to take a shuttle to Gate 11 first, enjoy your meal, and then take a shuttle back to Gate 17 or 18 to board your flight. You can also go shopping during your time. The types and numbers of seats are sufficient to clearly distinguish the dining and working areas. In addition, there is natural lighting, so it is quite comfortable to rest in the VIP room. As for food, Asuka Lounge does not offer hot dishes, but only two types of dim sum. However, there are quite a few types of cold dishes. I arrived around 3pm, which was just enough for afternoon tea. General catering, beer, red wine and hot drinks are also available, and bottled water is also provided for easy take-away on board. Overall, considering the Cathay Pacific business class ticket price, the Cathay Pacific VIP lounge in Hong Kong feels more worthwhile.
