Shenxianju in Taizhou

Shenxianju, located within the territory of Baita Town, Xianju County, combines the seclusion of Tiantai and the uniqueness of Yandang, almost encompassing the entire essence of Xianju. Each mountain, water, cliff, cave, stone, and peak here has its own style, as if designed by immortals for their own residence. Shenxianju is one of the world's larger typical volcanic rhyolite landforms, with rich and concentrated landscapes. Surrounded by peculiar peaks, there are over a hundred scenic spots including Guanyin Rock, Tathagata Statue, Welcoming Mountain God, General Rock, Sleeping Beauty, and the Eleven Spill Flying Waterfall. Centered around the Xiyan Secluded Valley, it forms a landscape of peaks, cliffs, streams, and waterfalls. The scenic area has four major heavenly gates to the east, west, south, and north, each formed by two steep peaks standing opposite each other, as if welcoming guests on behalf of the host. The northern entrance (Xiyan) and southern entrance (Danzhu) both provide access to the scenic area.
