It's hard to imagine that this is an indoor botanical garden in the north!

I'm truly amazed! I didn't want to leave after taking photos inside! This is the Taiyuan Botanical Garden. There are three exhibition halls inside, one of which is under maintenance. So, this time I visited the Tropical Rainforest Pavilion and the Psammophyte Pavilion. For those who love plants, this place is truly a paradise. The tropical plants grow lushly, with various vines climbing in an orderly fashion. Each plant has a brief introduction, and I saw many large trees that I had only seen in books before. In one pavilion, you can experience the jungle environment where the foliage blocks out the sky, as well as the humid and warm tropical climate. This feeling is really wonderful. The Psammophyte Pavilion is also a favorite of mine, with two tall baobab trees inside! Other desert plants are also beautifully grown, and there's even a succulent plant wall. Whether for science education or photography, this place is an excellent environment. Because it was a sandy day in the northern spring when I visited, I didn't take many photos outside the pavilion. The famous internet-famous elevator lights up at six o'clock, but I didn't wait because the wind was too strong. I hope to come back when the weather is better. The Taiyuan Botanical Garden is a botanical garden that integrates technology and ecology, rebuilt by the Austrian Delugan Meissl Associated Architects on the site of an old coal mine. Its unique wooden grid dome structure of the greenhouse complex won the ENR 2021 Global Best Project award, and it was the only project from China selected that year.
