The park is inspired by the artistic conception of Yuan Haowen's 'Touching the Fish - Yanqiu Lyrics' which asks 'What is love in this world that makes one willing to live and die for it,' and features majestic architecture and beautiful landscapes, becoming a new landmark of Taiyuan. 🏞 The scenic area covers an area of about 5.84 hectares, including the Exam-taking Road Corridor, Haowen Hall, Shuangfei Pavilion, Zhiying Pavilion, Zishan Pavilion, Kuangge Pavilion, and other architectural features, as well as landscape greening and paving. It is deep autumn, the scenery is pleasant, and it is a good season for outdoor outings. Coming here for sports, fitness, and walking is a good choice! 🌟 Yuan Haowen (1190-1257), styled Yuzhi, with the pseudonym Yishan, was from Xiurong, Taiyuan (now Xinzhou, Shanxi). He was intelligent from a young age and was known as a 'child prodigy.' He was skilled in poetry, prose, lyrics, and music, with his 'Poems of Chaos' being particularly famous. His lyrics were considered the best of the Jin dynasty. During the Song, Jin, and Yuan periods, he was a major representative of northern literature and was revered as 'a master of literature of his generation' and 'the literary hero of the north.' 💡 Highlights: 🪝 The scenic area fits with the young Yuan Haowen's journey from Xinzhou to Bingzhou for the imperial examination. The surrounding mountains are majestic, and the waterside scenery is enchanting, with the poetic charm of 'endless layers of clouds, thousands of mountains buried in snow,' and wild geese inhabiting the area, full of poetic and picturesque beauty. 🪝 Inside Yanqiu Garden, there is a screen wall commemorating Yuan Haowen's 'Yanqiu Lyrics' and a hall displaying the life experiences of Yuan Haowen, allowing visitors to understand the perseverance and sentiments of this literary figure in the face of adversity. 🪝 Haowen Tower is the main gate of Yanqiu Garden.
