Originally a flood control project, this area was transformed using eco-friendly methods into an ecological detention basin. It features a waterside trail, small waterfalls, and cascading streams, allowing water to flow naturally while creating a haven for wildlife. Every visit brings new surprises: Taiwan blue magpies chirping in the trees, dragonflies dancing by the water, and occasionally, adorable tree frogs or squirrels making an appearance. The trails are flat and easy to walk, making it perfect for families. The grassy areas are spacious, and on weekends, many people come here to picnic or fly kites. If you love flowers, the autumn and winter seasons offer beautiful floral meadows, ideal for snapping photos and sharing on social media. Dagouxi may not be a popular tourist spot, but it’s a true urban oasis where you can relax and connect with nature.
