Taipei 101 Building: Witnessing Urban Fireworks in the Rain

These past few days in Taipei, the weather hasn't been kind, with several days of rain and a perpetually misty sky. The cold wind adds a chill, but this hasn't dampened my enthusiasm for exploring the city. Instead, it has allowed me to see a different side of Taipei. 📍Taipei 101 and Breeze Nanshan Taipei 101 truly lives up to its reputation as a city landmark. Even in bad weather, it remains imposing. It's located very close to the Japanese-style shopping stores at Breeze Nanshan, where the air is filled with the aroma of various delicious foods, making one's mouth water. Inside Taipei 101, the luxury brand area on the upper floors is somewhat deserted. Stores like LV, Tiffany, and Gucci have more staff than customers, giving a rather cold impression. However, more accessible brands like Lululemon and North Face still attract some shoppers. Moving on to Breeze Nanshan, the Japanese-style clothing stores have soft and comfortable fabrics with elegant colors, exuding a sense of lifestyle aesthetics. However, the stores here are generally very small. Compared to the spacious malls in North America, you can walk through these stores in no time, making them feel quite compact. The food court on the lower level, however, presents a different scene. It's bustling with people, with long queues at various food stalls. It seems that the love for food among Asians is always high. Unfortunately, the rainy and cold weather prevented me from seeing the night view, which is a pity. Taipei feels a bit dull during the day, with the exciting life happening at night. Shopping and night markets are bustling, with people coming out to enjoy themselves. It's a paradise for young people, who, after a day's work, meet up to eat, drink, and shop.
