The Grand Hotel Taipei｜Taiwan's First Five-Star Hotel

Once, on my way to Tamsui by MRT, I saw an impressive red ancient building. At that time, I had no idea what it was. Later, when my family came to Taipei and wanted to visit the 'Grand Hotel Taipei,' I realized that it was such a famous place🤣 As soon as I entered the lobby, I was stunned by the overwhelming red decor and couldn't help but take a few more glances. The super high atrium with a red carpeted staircase made the people standing on it look so tiny. Since its opening in 1973, the Grand Hotel Taipei has hosted many heads of state, diplomats, politicians, and celebrities. The entire hotel is like a museum, not only with many exhibits to see but also guided tours to join. There are also many shops to browse 🛍️ The hotel has two Chinese restaurants, a Western restaurant, a café, and a bar. We chose 'Yuan Yuan,' which serves Jiangsu and Zhejiang cuisine. I heard that the other restaurant, 'Golden Dragon,' is a Cantonese restaurant with a Hong Kong chef. The restaurant's location offers a view of Taipei 101. Although the food was not particularly impressive, the prices were reasonable compared to Hong Kong, not too expensive. The whole hotel is already a tourist attraction, and it's a worthwhile experience to visit🥰 I would love to stay for a night to experience more~
