#Taipei Attractions The Taipei Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall covers five major areas: the Memorial Hall, Green Lake, Zhongshan Park, Zhongshan Forest of Steles and Zhongshan Park Square. The main building is three stories high, and each floor has its own unique functions. In the early days of the museum, it mainly focused on the display of revolutionary historical relics of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Now it has been transformed into a grand stage for artistic performances and award ceremonies, becoming a landmark venue for large-scale events in Taiwan. ⚠️Attention⚠️ This Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall (completed in 1972), which has gone through more than half a century of ups and downs, will be temporarily closed from February 26, 2024 for large-scale renovations, with a focus on the renovation of the Grand Hall, which has hosted the Golden Horse Awards, Golden Bell Awards, and Golden Melody Awards ceremonies many times. The museum expects that the upgrade of the Great Hall and surrounding facilities will continue until the end of 2026, during which time the public will not be able to watch the iconic Changing of the Guard ceremony.
