Secret Stream Historic Trail ~ Dog Yinqin Historic Trail

The Gouyinqin Historic Trail, also known as the Weilun Canal Trail, is located in Pingdeng Village, Shilin District, Taipei City. It was formed when the Jinhexing Canal was opened in the past. Along the way, there are lush greenery and many canal machines left over from past history can be seen. Gouyinqin Historic Trail is 3.4 kilometers long and has two entrances, one is Lane 42, Pingjing Street, and the other is Lane 350, Yonggong Road. You can roam on this secret trail in Taipei under Yangming Mountain, avoiding the crowds and enjoying this green and simple stream ancient trail. There are two pavilions on the ancient trail for rest. One is a bamboo pavilion after passing through the lush green bamboo forest. After taking a rest and drinking some tea, you can continue on your journey. It’s about 22 minutes from the first pavilion to the second pavilion, and on the right there is a trail that leads down to the stream. There has been plenty of rainfall recently, and the gurgling water in the creek can actually surge and roar like an army charging into battle. After the trip, I enjoyed the baptism of phytoncide and negative ions!
