Visiting the shores of Taihu Lake in Wuxi is a must! It's been a while since I last visited Wuxi, and this time I revisited the old places of Turtle Head Isle, Li Garden, and Three Kingdoms City! Turtle Head Isle is a peninsula on the northwest shore of Taihu Lake, one of the five largest freshwater lakes in China. Surrounded by water on three sides, it resembles a turtle raising its head, and it is also a famous cherry blossom viewing spot. Major attractions include Chongshan Hidden Beauty, Ten-mile Fragrant Path, Hengyun Villa, Lotus Flower Depths, and more. You can also take a cruise to the Fairy Isles of Taihu Lake. Wuxi Three Kingdoms City is one of the Wuxi Film and TV Bases, located by Taihu Lake. It is China's first large-scale, fully immersive film shooting and tourism base, established in 1987 and known as the 'Oriental Hollywood'. Here, besides touring filming spots like 'King Wu's Palace', 'Ganlu Temple', 'Cao's Camp', 'Wu's Camp', 'Seven-Star Altar', 'Pointing General Platform', you can also watch the thrilling performance of 'The Three Heroes Battle Lu Bu' at the 'Horse Racing Ground', which makes you feel as if you've traveled back to the times of galloping warhorses and fluttering banners. 'Li Garden is tranquil and beautiful, where Xi Shi made fish sink; Li Lake is picturesque, where Fan Li was skilled in fishing.' According to legend, during the Spring and Autumn period, the nobleman Fan Li and the beauty Xi Shi boated here, hence the lake was named after the people, and the garden after the lake. Li Garden, known for its 'exquisite elegance', is praised as a 'Peach Blossom Land'.
