The name alone made me want to burst with dopamine, so I went in, but seriously… Miso Caramel Bao, this is crazy. 😳 The bite-sized bao buns are moistly soaked with sweet and salty miso caramel sauce, and at first bite, I exclaimed, “What is this?” The outside is slightly chewy and the inside is soft, and the caramel is not too strong, but it goes perfectly with the miso paste. 🧂🍬 The balance of slightly savory + salty + sweet is perfect. It looks like a dessert, but it would go well with beer! I ordered it as a side dish, but its presence rivals that of the main menu. The portion size is small but the impact is big, and it was a memorable taste that I ordered without any expectations.
