Hidden Suzhou places!

I spent some time in Suzhou and I really wanted to avoid the big crowds of the magnificent Humble Administrator’s Garden. So here are some recommendations if you want to enjoy the city peacefully. 1. Pingjiang Road 🛶: Main touristic road of Suzhou, a lot of people but is big enough to have hidden alleys where you can enjoy the canals and chill. Recommend sunset time and north part for that. 2. Master of Nets Garden 🎣: Beautiful garden. Some people but less crowded than the most famous ones. Beautiful and compact, this garden is a marvel. Go early to be the most chill possible. 3. The Couple’s Garden 👰♀️: Less beautiful but still beautiful and what’s important, bigger and more quiet. Still has some interesting architecture (windows). 4. Mudu Ancient Town 🐉: The most underrated ancient village of Suzhou. Very traditional, amazing food stores and some of the most beautiful gardens of the whole city. You buy the ticket to see all of them together and you will not regret the great canal views. A must. 5. Shangfangshang Forest 🎋: My favorite place of the trip (without water). This has a botanical garden with amazing flowers, a golden giant Buddha, a hidden local temple, some monkeys and amazing trees. There is no people, there is no noise, just the forest and you.
