Suzhou Family-Friendly Hotel Recommendations I'm the type of person who doesn't spend much time researching travel guides - I just pick a place, book tickets, and pack my bags. My focus is on relaxation and entertainment. This time in Suzhou, instead of booking Hilton or similar chain hotels, I chose a hotel that reflects the local Jiangnan characteristics of Suzhou. Pan Pacific Suzhou The hotel - I never expected it to be inside a scenic area. When we arrived, I thought it was a city gate tower, wondering where the city wall was. This unexpected choice turned out to be perfect for our last day's itinerary. That's a story for later, as we only spent two hours in the scenic area on the last rainy day before catching our high-speed train. ✔The hotel lobby features an Eight Trigrams pattern on the top floor, which I absolutely love. The hotel has reportedly been around since around the founding of the People's Republic of China, maintaining its classical charm. Also, the heating is excellent - contrary to what people say about the south being cold, it's as warm as northern floor heating. ✔The hotel offers various room types. Since we needed separate sleeping areas, we chose a two-bedroom suite with a living room for the first day - it was HUGE!!!! We felt like we were in a maze. The next day, we switched to a one-bedroom suite, which still had two bathrooms. ✔For family trips, I find the amenities most convenient. The kids' rooms come well-equipped with toiletries, a tent⛺, ball pit, and alpaca plush toys that even our 10-year-old couldn't put down. The refrigerator and induction cooker make it safe and comfortable for elderly and children's dining needs. On New Year's Eve, they even delivered two electric heaters to our room. ✔During the Lunar New Year period, breakfast is extended until 11 AM, perfect for a relaxed vacation schedule. ✔As for the scenery, you can see beautiful views just by opening your window after waking up, and every few steps during a simple morning jog reveals exquisite views and connected corridors.
