Zhenze Ancient Town: A Hidden Gem in Jiangnan

Zhenze Ancient Town, formerly known as "Wutouyuewei," is a Jiangnan ancient town with a history of 2,000 years. It is also one of China's five ancient towns famous for sericulture. Zhenze is the ancient name of Taihu Lake, so Zhenze Ancient Town is the only Jiangnan ancient town with the same name as Taihu Lake. Unlike many winding Jiangnan ancient towns, the wide Ditang River runs through the town, with white-walled and black-tiled buildings lining the riverbanks.
