Suzhou: A Journey Through Canals and Classical Gardens

Just got back from an amazing day exploring the beauty of both Shanghai and Suzhou! First stop was Yu Garden in Shanghai, an incredible oasis in the heart of the city. The intricate pavilions, peaceful ponds, and beautiful rockeries made me feel like I had stepped back in time. Every corner offered something serene and breathtaking, and it was the perfect escape from the city’s fast pace. Next, I headed to Suzhou Museum, where history and modern design meet. The architecture alone, designed by I.M. Pei, was stunning, blending traditional Chinese elements with sleek, contemporary touches. Inside, I explored exhibits filled with ancient artifacts, beautiful calligraphy, and delicate silk embroidery, giving me a deep appreciation for Suzhou’s rich cultural heritage. Of course, no trip is complete without enjoying some amazing food. I tried a variety of local dishes—each bite was a burst of flavor. The soup dumplings were a highlight, perfectly crafted with thin skins and flavorful broth inside. Between the peacefulness of Yu Garden, the cultural richness of Suzhou Museum, and the delicious food, this trip left me feeling both inspired and satisfied. Can’t wait for my next adventure! #suzhou
