It retains many cultural relics and is considered the most scientific city wall in Korea. The stone wall built around the city is 5.5 kilometers long in total. The magnificent tower gate, arched Hwahongmun Gate, and elegant Banghwa Saeryujeong Pavilion show the architectural level of the Joseon Dynasty. I like to stroll along its city walls and take a closer look at this city I am meeting for the first time. It has a mixture of old and new houses! Hwaseong covers a very large area. I walked along the city wall for 4 hours and saw the entire Suwon city. Different corners have different scenery, which is worth savoring. There are several scenic spots in Hwaseong Fortress. I personally think the most beautiful scenery is at Hwahong Gate and Banghua Suiryu Pavilion. If you don’t have enough time, just go to these two places! Huahong Gate is a water gate, built above the stream, where you can enter the pavilion to enjoy the water view🥰 Suggestion: Take the Chang'an Gate>Huahong Gate>Fanghua Suiliuting section, I think the scenery is the most beautiful. Transportation🚇: You can take a bus from Seoul to Suwon Hwaseong. There are buses to Suwon from temples, Jamsil and other places. You can also take the subway to Suwon Station and then take a bus.
