Hwahong Gate (Hwahongmun, Buksumun)

#seoultrip This was my favorite part of the entire fortress wall, although to really see it properly, you're going to want to see it from atop the wall, outside the wall, and inside the wall. Inside the wall there is a stream which provides fantastic photo opportunities with the reflections in the water. It looks really impressive from the inside. From the outside it looks so unassuming compared to the inside, but it's still really cool. On top you have views of gates/towers on either side. Definitely check out this section of the wall, it is pretty awesome. To the southwest you can find most of the more iconic sites, while as you head to the northeast the sites will get less and less impressive. But this place was the pinnacle of the Hwaseong Fortress for me
