White Sand! Blue Lagoon! Monkey! Bamboo Raft!

My girlfriend and I recently took a trip away from the main island of Ko Samui, and did a day tour to the outside islands and it was an unforgettable experience. We took a day trip to another island Ko Pha Ngan and also to Ang Thong National Marine Park, which has the Blue Lagoon (Emerald Lake) Both of which were absolutely stunning and should be protected at all costs. We first started the trip to Pha Ngan and the views there were incredible. The beaches were white sand and the water was crystal clear. We were able to snorkel and see all the wild sea life swimming around the shallow water. We spent most of the time swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. Not to mention taking beautiful photos as there were many view points. After that, we had our lunch and made our way to our final destination and little did I know, Ang thong would be one of the most unforgettable places I would visit. Ang Thong National Marine Park was even more beautiful than Ko Pha Ngan. The islands were limestone and the water was a deep blue, and we were able to do bamboo rafting around the island through the caves and if you were daring you could even raft further into the ocean! What an amazing experience! We were able to see cavesand waterfalls, and hidden lagoons. After rafting, we entered the national park and were blown away by the view of the Blue Lagoon… words can’t describe what we saw. Not only that, as we were exploring even see a Dusky Leaf Monkey in the trees! This was my absolute favorite moment, especially knowing how rare it was to even see one and it was just sitting there watching us. After that, we came down from the park and relaxed at the beach and made our way home. It was fun filled day and even though we were exhausted by the end, it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an adventurous, yet relaxing vacation. Here are some tips for your trip: Go during the dry season (November to April) for the best weather. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses, water poof bag.
