| Hotel Majapahit Surabaya - MGallery Hey guys, I stayed at the historic Hotel Majapahit Surabaya - MGallery during my trip to Surabaya. I had such a great experience that I just had to share it with you! 📍 Location The hotel is located in the Tunjungan area of Surabaya, not far from the city center. There are plenty of places to eat, drink, and have fun nearby, making it super convenient to get around. Whether you're visiting popular local attractions or looking for unique local cuisine, you'll have no trouble finding what you're looking for. 🏛️ History and Culture Built in 1910, the hotel has a rich history and shares the same origins as several other well-known hotels in Asia. It also holds a unique place in the history of Indonesia's founding. The hotel offers a special history tour at 2 pm and 4 pm every day, where you can follow the staff to learn more about the hotel's past and present. It's super interesting! 💒 Architecture and Design Stepping into the hotel is like traveling back to the Dutch colonial period. The European-style architecture, with its extensive use of wood and brass, creates a strong retro atmosphere. Every photo you take will look amazing! From the grand chandeliers in the lobby to the vintage murals in the corridors, every detail tells a story of the past. 🍽️ Dining Experience The breakfast options are so varied that you'll be spoiled for choice. The perfect fusion of Western dishes and Indonesian specialties will take your taste buds on a global journey. The hotel's restaurants each have their own unique features, catering to different tastes. Every bite is a delight. 🛀 Leisure Facilities The hotel has all the leisure facilities you could want, including a swimming pool, gym, and spa. After a long day, you can take a dip in the pool or enjoy a relaxing spa treatment to unwind and rejuvenate. 🛏️ Room Experience I stayed in a standard room, which was about 40 square meters and very spacious. The room was decorated in a European retro style, with high-quality wooden furniture. However, there were a few minor issues, such as the phone being a bit outdated and the hot and cold water labels being worn. I hope the hotel will put more effort into maintaining its facilities. 💁‍♀️ Service The hotel staff are experienced and provide warm and attentive service.
