Sun Moon Lake (Depart from Taichung!!!)

We went to Sun Moon Lake on January 3rd and signed up for a one-day tour. We departed from the Twinstar Hotel in Taichung and it took about 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to Sun Moon Lake. The scenery of Sun Moon Lake that day was magnificent as you can see in the picture, and the weather was clear and warm, which was very comfortable. In addition, I set out on a sightseeing boat and passed through three small islands in total, so I was able to enjoy a more comprehensive view. The first stop was to the island where Grandma’s tea eggs were made. The tea eggs were well-flavored and tasted unique in Taiwan (much better than those sold in convenience stores). The second stop was the market at Sun Moon Lake, where there were many shops selling special delicacies, similar to a night market. The most famous of them was No. 18 black tea. I also bought a handmade owl here. The last stop was back to the starting point. *Finally, please note that there is a sightseeing cable car in Sun Moon Lake, but it is closed on Wednesdays, so please be aware if you are interested in taking it. #SunMoonLake
