A luxurious seafood bowl from Sumida Ward, Tokyo, Japan: Noguchi Fresh Fish Shop
#野口鮮鱼店 A seafood rice bowl specialty store in Sumida Ward. The main store is close to Honjo Azumabashi Station, and there are branches in Oshiage Skytree and Nishiki Parco Food Court. After my first visit to Tokyo, I was shocked by the super exaggerated seafood bowl in the food court, so I made a return visit this time.
Considering that I ordered the super extravagant #野口鮮大渔神帼 last time, which was presented beautifully like a butterfly and the portion was so large that I couldn’t finish it; this time I ordered the smaller #うまい丼dx, which has bluefin tuna, raw scallops, homemade salmon soft, raw sea urchin, etc. Such a generous bowl costs about NT$600 including tax, which is quite a bargain.
If you still have some stomach left, please order an oyster directly from Hiroshima. It is of an incredibly large size. Squeeze some lemon and go down it in one gulp. The delicious seafood flavor and smooth and tender texture, with no fishy smell at all, will satisfy you. It’s about NT$120, which is a good deal again!
In addition to dining in, the store also provides more cost-effective take-out. I saw many locals coming here specifically to take out sashimi or rice bowls.
Although the quality and taste of the seafood bowl are not as good as nigiri sushi, it is already very satisfying. In addition, the two branches in the mall’s food court have longer business hours, and you hardly have to queue if you choose the right time.
