LEGION COFFEESHOP | VERY NOSTALGIC AND AESTHETIC

Only 1 km from Sukabumi Station, legiuncapitol is, in my opinion, a very cool retro-themed café. It is supported by its location in Capitol, a district that thrived until the 1990s. It served as a meeting place for Dutch residents during the colonial era and later became a local recreation spot, before its popularity waned in the early 21st century. Legion Societeit, with warkopmajawati as the food and beverage provider, revives the ambiance of the 1980s and 1990s in a classic building preserved on Mayawati Street. It's slightly hidden, marked only by a place sign. It’s situated upstairs, adorned with typical items from that era, like biscuit tins and old magazines. In a couple of corners, there are black-and-white photos showcasing Capitol's heyday and the surrounding area. Beyond its historical significance, all the food and drinks we ordered were delicious (read: suited our taste).
