Seacroft Estate Recommendation

✨Hotel Highlights Seacroft Estate was a hidden gem for me along the Great Ocean Road—a former monastery turned into a cozy retreat with ocean views, peaceful surroundings, and a rustic charm that sets it apart from typical accommodations in the area. 📍Location & Setting Nestled between the rolling hills and the coastline, Seacroft Estate offers stunning views of the ocean while feeling completely secluded. Only a 15 minute drive from Apollo bay and a short walk from a beautiful waterfall, It’s the perfect place to unwind after a long day of driving, with a mix of open fields, rugged cliffs, and the sound of waves crashing in the distance. If you’re looking for a quiet escape from the tourist crowds, this is it. 🛁Room Environment Seacroft has a range of accommodation options, from private rooms to dorm-style bunks and self-contained cottages. I personally stayed in a 3-bed dorm, which was perfect with storage options and mosquito net. The old monastery buildings add a unique character to the place—expect high ceilings, simple but comfortable furnishings, and a communal atmosphere that makes it easy to meet other travelers. The highlight is definitely the communal areas. There’s a large shared kitchen, cozy lounge spaces, and outdoor seating areas with unbeatable views of the coastline. Whether you’re sitting by the fire inside or watching the sunset from the lawn, the vibe is relaxed and welcoming. ♨️Amenities Kitchen: Well-equipped for cooking, though you’ll need to bring your own supplies as there aren’t many shops nearby. Wi-Fi: Somewhat limited, which fits the off-grid, unplugged feel of the place. Bathrooms: Basic but clean, with hot showers. Parking: Plenty of space for cars and campervans. 🛎️Hotel Service It’s a self-check-in setup, so you might not see any staff during your stay, but instructions are clear and easy to follow. 💗Guest Experience Seacroft Estate isn’t a luxury stay—it’s more about the atmosphere, the scenery, and the chance to slow down and enjoy the surroundings. It’s ideal for those who appreciate a more rustic, communal experience rather than a polished hotel. The people are friendly, the location is unbeatable, and it’s a great spot to break up a Great Ocean Road trip. Would I stay again? Absolutely. It’s the kind of place that sticks with you—not just for the views, but for the experience of staying somewhere with character and a genuine sense of tranquility.
