Our guide was passionate and knowledgeable, taking us through the players’ tunnel, dressing rooms, the VIP seats, and even giving us a moment to sit in the dugout, imagining what it’s like to manage from the touchline. Before heading out, I visited the megastore, where it’s dangerously easy to spend a small fortune on jerseys, scarves, and souvenirs.
