Winter at Preikestolen, the Majesty in Silence

Winter at Preikestolen holds a special charm that is hard to put into words. The journey, which took about 3 hours round trip, was by no means short, but the tranquility and grandeur of nature encountered during that time made all the fatigue disappear. Perhaps because it was winter, there were hardly any people, giving the feeling that it was just me and this massive rock cliff. The sheer fjord spread out beneath my feet and the endless landscape beyond were breathtakingly overwhelming. In the cold weather, the breath that came out, the crunching sound of snow underfoot, and the wind brushing through the trees filled the silence. The empty space was peaceful and had the power to make me reflect deeply. The moment of being completely face-to-face with nature, away from the noise of civilization, was so intense that it was more than just 'good'. However, in winter, the sun sets early, so it is strongly recommended to start early. As it gets dark after sunset, it can be difficult to find your way, so moving early in the morning is safe and good for fully enjoying the scenery. Also, transportation needs to be considered, as you have to take a bus and then switch to a taxi at a certain point, which can cost a bit more. Nevertheless, it was a place well worth the expense. I want to convey this feeling to people. I believe that anyone standing there will feel their small existence and at the same time experience being embraced by the vastness of nature. I hope that someday someone who reads this will visit Preikestolen in winter and feel the same emotion as I did.
