In the foothills 12 kilometers away from Guanglu Town, Yao'an County, there is an ancient temple, Longhua Temple, which is also called Living Buddha Temple by locals. This is an extremely rare ancient wooden temple from the Tang Dynasty in northwest Yunnan. It incorporates cultural elements from the Han, Bai, Yi and Naxi nationalities. The temple's clay sculptures and wood carvings are unique, exquisite and well-preserved. There is a bronze statue in the temple, which was cast by the famous ancient scholar Gao Fenying (Gao Xuejun) in his later years. He had a legendary personality. After resigning from his official position, he devoted himself to research, writing books, and his amazing talent far surpassed his powerful family status. Gao Xuejun is a Confucian master from Yunnan, who calls himself "outstanding, independent, serene and solitary" and says that a life of leisure is priceless. His influence is enormous! Xu Xiake once stayed here when he traveled in Yunnan, "staying in the east wing of the back pavilion." The temple, with the spring breeze blowing on your face, is very quiet and solemn. The Sanfeng Temple, located in the southern valley of Longhua Temple, is an integral part of the ancient temple and is also a unique attraction. The Sanfeng Temple is a quadrangle building with three main halls and a statue of Zhang Sanfeng.
