Expectations vs reality

The city itself is very small, so the only attraction they have is the palace of Pena. But reality shows it’s a tourist trap and robbery. Not only for price of 14 eur per adult and 12.5 eur for children. But mostly due to long queues. There’s 1 hour queue to get the tickets, then 1.5 hours to enter the palace. And the best of it all is entrance time shows in a ticket! It has to be regulated. Has to be limited amount of tickets sold per day, so you can enter and walk around easily. Visit time is around 30min in total being in line. So don’t expect to even read those few info plates that are given. At the end, lots of money spend, no mood at all, most memory is waiting and queuing. ##

National Palace of Pena

Sintra is a Portuguese village located very close to Lisbon. There are several attractions to know in the city, I suggest spending more than a day in the city. Pictured is the Palácio da Pena, which on July 7, 2007 was elected as one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. #historicallandmarks #portugal
