A Walk From National Gallery Singapore To CBD

I love walking from places to places in Singapore, while visiting attractions and it is doable here because attractions are in proximity to each other. I take my walks as a form of exercise and take in the pretty sights and sounds of Singapore. My recent walk started from national gallery Singapore and I love the exterior architectural design of the building. Right outside national gallery Singapore, lies the Padang where the National day parade was once held and you could also see the famous Marina Bay Sands just across the padang. Walk further down, and you will reach boat quay. You could see the colourful well preserved shop houses facing the Singapore River. Near there, you could also see the paying tribute statue of indian prime minister Jawaharlal nehru and the iconic Cavenagh Bridge which played an important role in Singapore's history. Once you cross this bridge, the singapore's bustling Central business district is a stone's throw away. This walk is a visual treat and a good way of learning Singapore's history, you could try it too. #tripblazers
