Sights and Sounds of Chinatown Market

In London, people would visit the borough market. While in perth, people would visit the fremantle market. In Singapore, we have the chinatown wet market that people do visit as well. I am not surprised because markets are all different in every country, selling different things and it is such an eye opener to see what a local market offers. As the name suggest, chinatown wet market is really wet! The floor is slippery with fish water drippings, you can smell strong fishy stench coming from the seafood and the market is bustling with life. Fishmonger seen haggling prices and serving customers, while people are busy choosing their seafood. Every stall is unique. Some sells Yong tau foo, others sell meat and there is a stall selling exotic fish like snake head fish and frog legs. At the back of the market, other stalls are selling vegetables and fruits. It is not uncommon to see some tourists at this market and everything else at this market is just fresh fresh fresh! #meetsingapore
