Alchemist Coffee at The Mill

This Alchemist outlet is hidden in a fortified gothic building. To go with the gothic architecture of the building, the seating area of the café is also done up in the gothic style, while the counter and brewing area is in the more familiar brutalist style that Alchemist usually does. The menu is simple - black, white, chocolate, filter, iced or hot. They serve 2 espresso bean options - the usual Dark Matter, Brazil & Colombia mix & Don Alfonso, a Costa Rico mix. The white with Dark Matter brings out the chocolate-y notes of the beans, with a caramel-like sweet ending notes, which makes it easy on the palate. The price was surprisingly very affordable. Coffee and pastries price ranges around SGD4 to SGD6. In love with the ambience, decorations of the café and building, it has monochromatic, and gothic feel.
