Maritime journey heritage tour

Address - The Fullerton Bay Hotel, 80 Collyer Quay, Singapore 049326 As staying guests at The Fullerton Bay Hotel, we could join in a complimentary heritage tour that introduced us to the history behind this beautiful area! We learnt about how the red lanterns on the Clifford Pier walls were so iconic that its name was derived from that symbol in Mandarin. There was also a full height concrete wall art that is a replica of The Fullerton Hotel’s building facade. We were then told stories of the Customs House adjacent to the hotel, where the marine police used to be stationed. Finally, we were shown a golden sculpture by the bay that depicts how the early immigrants might’ve felt when arriving on Singapore’s shores: A window to gold and wealth. Pretty cool!
