At one end you will find famous shopping centres such as Raffles City Shopping Centre, while just next to them you will find iconic historical building like our Capitol Theatre, Supreme Court, National Gallery Singapore and Chijmes etc. For visitors visiting this place for the first time, I will highly recommend to first allocate time to visit the historical places as you will learn and see a lot about the history of Singapore here, including stories about how this buildings were related to the World War II. When night falls, this place turns into a entertainment district with many bars and restaurants around the area.
