So happy I managed to reserve this because the mountain of figs on the creme d’amandes tart base look phenomenal, and I really wanted to taste how freshly flown in, fully ripened Japanese figs are! They were super ripe by how fork-soft they felt—kind of like bananas, also in terms of creaminess, that was mixed with a similar cucumber-like mild sweetness. The custard cream was airy light so it wasn’t trying to steal the figs’ thunder and merely existed to help hold them up. The fragrance of the almond-flavoured tart was apparent too, and its moist texture + taste reminded me of financiers. #singaporetrip#food
