While I often mention to friends that Singapore can seem a bit mundane and might not justify a five-hour flight, given the presence of familiar chain eateries and attractions that may feel underwhelming, there is one aspect that stands out remarkably: Singapore's exceptional "green landscaping." The city is renowned for integrating lush greenery into its iconic architecture, creating a unique urban oasis. A recent visit to an indoor garden in Shanghai reminded me of Singapore's Marina Bay "Flower Dome" and "Cloud Forest," albeit on a smaller scale. The Flower Dome maintains a constant temperature, offering a sanctuary for exotic plants from around the globe, including many rare species. The Cloud Forest, on the other hand, is a breathtaking marvel with its indoor forest, cascading waterfalls, mist, and rock formations, leaving visitors truly mesmerized. These attractions are a must-see in Singapore, and I highly recommend them.
