Michelin Award Chicken Rice

This shop is called Hawker Chan Saya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle. It’s famous for having been the first street food vender to be awarded a Michelin Star. You will often see many people waiting to get in. There are often big queues here. Fortunately, when we arrived we only spent about ten minutes in line. We chatted with two local Singaporean women who said they very much like coming and praised the restaurant for its vision. The amazing thing is that even though they were awarded a Michelin Star, the restaurant still maintains its original price! That’s enough to earn high praise from me. The menu is not very big. The main dishes are fried chicken noodles and friend chicken rice. I ordered a half size of the chicken noodles. For SG$12, it was the cheapest meal I’ve ever eaten! The roasting chickens on display are enough to make your mouth water. I found though after tasting I was a bit disappointed, maybe because I was expecting too much. Generally speaking, the chicken is delicious, but it seems like maybe it hadn’t really reached that point of maximum flavor. Still, it was delicious and the noodles were excellent too. I would definitely recommend the chicken noodles. If the lines are super long, don’t feel bad if you don’t feel like waiting. There are a lot of good food vendors nearby.
