Do you love music? (I’m sure most of us do, or at least I hope!) Located behind Rochor MRT lies Burlington Square which is home to Hear Records. It has a wide variety of vinyl records! From jazz, blues, pop and many more, there is surely something for everyone! Even if you dont have a turntable at home, it can also be a room decor! Prices range from $30-$90+! I bought Lana Del Rey’s Born To Die and Lady Gaga’s Chromatica which set me back only $98. The staff is friendly and very helpful! This is my first time visiting Christmas Wonderland in Singapore and it was a truly amazing experience! I enter the venue from 6:30PM onwards to get a glimpse of the places in the day time while the sky change into sunset moment! There’s plenty of photo spots and food bazaar around and the best highlight is the magical Rhapsody and Blizzard Performance every 7:45PM, 8:45PM and 9:30PM! There’s also special Aurora Borealis happening every 9:05 on Sat, Sun and Monday only which I totally recommended! You can even enjoy a summer Christmas if you visit now 🎄 - Preparation: 1️⃣ Passport & SG Arrival Card (download the MyICA app and fill in your details 3 days in advance, then you can enjoy a smooth self-service entry) 2️⃣ SIM card: buy a data card or a 2-in-1 card with transport 3️⃣ Cash: I exchanged SGD 200 for 3 days, you can withdraw cash at the airport 4️⃣ Visa card: you can use it to pay for the subway, so you don't need to buy a subway card for SGD 5 5️⃣ Navigation app: Google Maps or Apple Maps, I found Apple Maps better, but Google Maps has restaurant ratings - 🚇 Transport & hotel: ① You can buy an EZ-Link card at the airport (I don't recommend buying a tourist pass, it's not worth it). You can use it for the subway/bus, and the Sentosa Express. ② Singapore hotel rooms are quite small, so I recommend choosing a hotel in a convenient location. We stayed near Chinatown, which is close to the city center and Sentosa. - 🧾 My 3-day itinerary: DAY1️⃣: Song Fa Bak Kut Teh—Merlion Park (you can walk from Clarke Quay, passing the Old Hill Street Police Station, the scenery is great)—Gardens by the Bay (you can watch the light show in the evening)—Orchard Road (the whole street is full of Christmas spirit) DAY2️⃣: Ya Kun Kaya Toast—Universal Studios Singapore (there were hardly any queues, we finished all the rides we wanted to try in 3 hours, the Mummy ride is a must!)—head to Sentosa at around 4 pm, Tanjong Beach is great for watching the sunset (Jay Chou's bar is closed, so check the opening times)—dinner at a beach restaurant on Sentosa DAY3️⃣: Shopping at Singapore Airport, eating at Jumbo Seafood, Ralph Lauren is offering free Christmas photo printing~ - 🍽️ Food ① Song Fa Bak Kut Teh: delicious! There are many branches, you can choose the nearest one, and the soup is free to refill~ ② Ya Kun Kaya Toast: Singapore's national breakfast, the kaya toast is very fragrant, but I didn't like the soy milk coffee, I recommend eating at VivoCity, then you can take the Sentosa Express from the 3rd floor~ ③ Jumbo Seafood: the black pepper crab is super fragrant, the cereal prawns are a bit greasy, there are long queues on Orchard Road, I recommend the branch in Jewel Changi Airport, you can walk in at around 1 pm ④ Nyonya Laksa: I ate at a popular restaurant in ION B4, you can visit if you're shopping on Orchard Road ⑤ Panamericana: a super beautiful sunset restaurant! The atmosphere and overall vibe are strikingly different between the two times. Daytime highlights the intricate details and vibrant colors of the floral displays, while nighttime adds a magical touch with twinkling lights and a cozy, festive glow. The night view of the Christmas Train at Flower Dome in Gardens by the Bay is particularly enchanting, as the festive lights, decorations, and ambient illumination enhance the magical atmosphere. The interplay of twinkling lights with the lush greenery and the mini trains, creates a mesmerizing scene that's perfect for photos and an unforgettable holiday experience. Located in the heart of Singapore, the hotel is made up of the Capitol Building and Stamford House. The hotel is low-key and luxurious, combining historical and modern design elements. Staying here is like taking an elegant journey through time. ❤️Must-visit Although I've been to Singapore many times, taking a sidecar tour of the city was a new experience. If you stay at the Kempinski, you can rent a sidecar and become the coolest person on the street. 🛏️Room I fell in love with the retro European-style room as soon as I opened the door. The room is spacious, elegant, and romantic. My favorite thing to do was to sit on the sofa and stare out the window, especially in the afternoon when the sun shone into the room. The drinks in the minibar are free. Drinking a glass of champagne in the bathtub before bed was perfect. 🍽️Dining The hotel has a wide range of dining options in the main building and the new building. There are two in the main building: 1️⃣15 Stamford Restaurant Sitting in this Nanyang-style garden restaurant, you can enjoy delicious food from around the world and Asia from breakfast. Dinner is fine dining, and the ceremony, presentation, and creativity of the dishes make it worth the visit. The chef combines Western and Singaporean cooking techniques and ingredients to create a new experience for your taste buds. There is also a bar next to the restaurant, which is perfect for a drink with friends. I even made my own cocktail here. 2️⃣Lobby Lounge This Peranakan-style afternoon tea is different from ordinary English afternoon tea and is very Singaporean. The portions are large, so you can have afternoon tea for lunch. The Hell Museum, also known as the 18 Levels of Hell, showcases various punishments for different crimes, portrayed in a very violent way LOL. I remember seeing figurines impaled by spears or being cut in half by grinders, etc. The crimes could be as trivial as cheating in exams 🙃
